ALOHA! I am Jasmyn Lefagaoali'i Nuga.  I am 40 years old and I was diagnosed with Acute Renal Failure in January 2015, after a VERY scary trip to the ER.  I had been down with the flu most of December not wanting to take any of my prescribed meds but overloading on Aleve because I was in a lot of pain due to a fall in the bathroom.

While in the hospital in January, I learned that the 2-3 weeks I had been really sick, I gained over 100lbs from water/fluid and not being able to use the bathroom.  I was immediately dialyzed a week+ straight, and each time they took out 6+ kilos of water (a weight loss of 12lbs) until I was able to breathe again on my own.

Since then, in March some time, my doctors and I was a bit saddened after hoping for a mirale that my kidneys would bounce back and work on their own but I instead was diagosed with CHRONIC kidney Failure and am in dire need of a kidney:(

I decided to start a blog to share my story, help others and hopefully raise enough funds and find a kidney donor by December of this year because that's how long it will take me to lose 150+lbs and I won't live with dialysis - I promised myself - in the new year.
